After my Primary Care Provider retired I was assigned to a new one and it was a problem from the get go. I moved to Oak Street where I was treated as a decrepit geriatric. Another no go. Then I found Howerton and I guess third try is a charm. Dr. Amy Straiko-Howerton did my initial intake appointment and she was WONDERFUL. No talking down to me, listened intently and took notes. Wonderful, welcoming family practice. Myself and my three children are seen by Dr. Amy Howerton and have been for 4 years since moving to the area. She is always thorough with examinations, never rushed when we have questions or want more information and the utmost professional. It is comforting to have a medical professional who listens to your concerns and validates them. I am so glad we have a confident family physician close to home!

This place is not the same as it used to be.I'd been coming here since I was in high school,back when either Shawn or Amy used to actually be there.Gradually over time the quality&customer service of this place has decreased tremendously—particularly since most of the old/original staff left.Howerton family med opens at 830.Ive been calling for close to 15 minutes back to back just to get someone on the phone to ask about an appointment.
