After my Primary Care Provider retired I was assigned to a new one and it was a problem from the get go. I moved to Oak Street where I was treated as a decrepit geriatric. Another no go. Then I found Howerton and I guess third try is a charm. Dr. Amy Straiko-Howerton did my initial intake appointment and she was WONDERFUL. No talking down to me, listened intently and took notes. Wonderful, welcoming family practice. Myself and my three children are seen by Dr. Amy Howerton and have been for 4 years since moving to the area. She is always thorough with examinations, never rushed when we have questions or want more information and the utmost professional. It is comforting to have a medical professional who listens to your concerns and validates them. I am so glad we have a confident family physician close to home!
