great shop I like shopping at Howell Smith better than the other chain shops around. I think the level of service is better and the feeling of the store is very homey. The only possibly negative comment I could make would be the traffic outside of the store. If you park in the lot next to the store, good luck trying to get out into the traffic on Newport Ave.
A great chain alternative! Howell Smith Druggist is a very centrally located drug store on the corner of Newport Ave and Central Ave. The store has a charm that's often lacking in the larger, chain drug stores. Everything that I've ever needed is conveniently located there. Pulling out of the parking lot can sometimes be a problem when there's a lot of traffic though.
