RecommendedUnbelievable cams. They have some unique hyd flat grinds for Chevy that’ll look “odd” on paper, but throw hot fire in the motor. Plus the price is great. Did I mention they’re parkerized? I’ve yet to try their lifters but I just ordered their lifter with the oil slots for additional lubrication.
BBF roller lifter failure after less than 2k and 10 months street use. Took out cam, now engine has to come back out.... not happy.

Don't stand behind their product. took 5 months to figure out that they weren't going to warranty my cam and stuck lifter. blamed it on oil pressure. ate the fuel pump journal and flattened #7 where the stuck lifter was. had 100 miles on it. truck had 60psi oil pressure. hmmm. They need the $$ more than I do. I will never recommend or buy their product again.
Been using howards for years and never had a problem! if you have a problem i would suggest swallow your pride and admit you messed up!
they could answer e-mails! they have my lifters i sent in at their request and won't answer any of my e-mails i have sent. it has been over a month and a half.
Howard's products are alright for the money but once you have a problem customer service is non-existent. They know it all and won't listen to your problem. I got the wrong cam shipped to me and they have no interest in taking care of it properly. A little bit of time and cooperation and I would still be a loyal customer. I've ran a lot of Howard's products in the past but won't use them anymore.
Been running a Howards mech flat tappet oval track cam with direct lube lifters on the street for more than 10 years. I shift my 383 sbc at 6500-7000 rpm frequently, depending on my need for a smile. I check the lash once or twice a year, never an issue. Couldn't be happier.
