I’ve been waiting for 6 hours. Hate it here
I went to the ER on Tuesday, June 23 for abdominal pain on my rightbside. When we arrived around 11:20, the waiting room was empty and quiet. I only waited about 10 minutes before being called back. My room was comfortable, the 2 nurses and the doctor were very nice and helpful. They took blood, a urine sample, did an EKG and C scan. They didn't find anything that could be causing my symptoms. UPDATE: My grandfather *was* dying and this turned out to be the post that helped me save him. My experience with the ER wasn't great but they didn't let how busy they were keep them from ordering the CT scan that my grandfather needed. I had to demand that it actually get done but it did get done and my grandfather lived through the experience. I'm grateful for that much. I score my experience as less than 1. I am still not over the fact that they released my mom without trying to determine why she fell and the same day she fell again and they took her to Subburn who did keep her. I still belueve they contributed to her having to go in hospice, but last night was worse. Since all of my father's doctors are MedStar we went back because his doctors are wonderful.
