Many thanks to all at Howard's. The owner of a 58 VW Beetle supplied us with a period correct look updated speedo head. The drive came out in a different position which put the cable at a different angle that just didn't suit us. Howards staff went into the depths of their new old stock & came up with the Right Angle VDO drive that we need, what a Gem! Well done, you pulled it out of the bag for us. Once again, many thanks. I needed a temperature sender unit, looked at the reviews - which were pretty bad - and thought, maybe I'll get good service. Sadly, no. I tried to order online but the website kept asking for a street address. I do not have street delivery, just PO Box, so I phoned them and as the delivery cost was quite high, I thought they could potentially use a courier service. The team was very helpful in providing over the phone assistance with my instrument cluster issue. Although they were unable to assist with my niche issue they gave advice on where to go and what might be the cause of my problem.
Had used this business in the past, decided to use them again for my own car, noticed the poor reviews on Google, but stupidly decided to still use them. XC Barina me, beeper for indicator not working, sent it off, couple weeks the cluster came back, and the moment it was plugged in it blew up with a strong smoke smell. I told them about this and I was yelled at saying it's over voltage that caused it. Strange when the car wasn't running and ignition was off when it was plugged in. When I first spoke to them they were nice and helpful, I sent my guages in, and then had to chase them up several times, they assured me twice that they would test them and get back to me the following day which never happened. They were pretty rude over the phone when I asked for them to post them back to me at my expense. big waste of $50 postage and several weeks.
