Howard electric is a scam for starters. Was told last year my heat bill spiked because I was using a heat pump. Was told this year it spiked because I wasn't. Bill doubled over 24 hour period because of "peak demand" so basically what that boils down to is if I use no electricity for weeks, but one day during their peak hours I use electricity I have to pay for an entire month like I was using it at the highest rate of the month. 2 days ago I was charged $50 for ONE DAY. We've barely lived here a year and the power has gone out for a substantial amount of time SIX TIMES. As I write this, the power went out and it hasnt stormed for hours. On the phone they're great, very friendly. The power lines/infrastructure need serious work. I'll have to shell out some serious $$$ for a generator now, because I can't trust my electric company to keep our lights on.

Over 20 years of business. This is the worst power co-op I've been a part of. Most expensive with the most costly hikes due to "peak demand" disgusting business model. Per your response, I've had two "audits" done and understand how the co-op works. Being a member for a while now. I also understand comparatively this co-op is one of the highest cost and peak demand hikes. I don't need your apology WE need resolution.
