Our previous GI had to leave the country and cancelled my husband’s procedure last minute. I called and explained the situation to the front office staff who were very friendly and accommodating. They got us in on Christmas Eve within 2 days of calling for a consultation. They did blood work that day on site and had us scheduled for a FibroScan of the liver and Colonoscopy the following week! Dr. Hamat and his staff are all very nice and professional. I was able to get in within a couple of days of getting a referral from my PCP. I had to have a procedure done at his surgery center, and they, too, were all very nice and understanding. The registering and checking in and out process was smooth for both the doctors office and surgery center. I appreciated how nice everyone was.

Avoid this practice. We were charged for a copay that we did not owe per our insurance benefits statement and they refused to refund it instead making up a story about another copay we owed eventhough we have nothing from our insurance Company that supports their claim. There are better practices out there. And there response to me was insurance benefits are confusing. The only one confused here is them.
