The staffing has been amazing and supportive of my mom’s needs.
I have had a 17 day stay at HOVLID -GRIDLEY POST ACUTE… I was so ill and overwhelmed and fearful … the staff has been incredibly kind and nurturing.. I’m sad to leave… I face another surgery in the future and will return to recover … the care has been so unexpected and tender.
Honestly if i could give this place zero stars i would. Not only is this a terrible place to work at but i would NEVER want any of my family members staying here. SOME of the CNAs there are horrible and they act like children. I wanted to work here to experience something new and i thought it would’ve been fun but boy was i wrong. Again SOME of the CNAs act like they’re in high school and i’ve already graduated so i didn’t go to this place just to work with middle aged women who act like their in high school. I am the new Administrator at Hovlid. I am so happy to be here and I have been so impressed with the staff. Everyone from the nurses and aides to the cooks and housekeepers are awesome! They truly care about the residents and taking care of them the right way! We will not always be perfect but we will truly try as hard as we can! We look forward to being a resource to the community!!
I've been working at HOVLID for almost two years. Since it's change of ownership on 8/1/2021 I have been in awe of the compassion, structure and human kindness being a daily constant there. Standards have been raised amongst all levels. There is now an in house Physical, Occupational and Speech therapy. Food is cooked daily onsite by Chefs.
