I called to discuss a defense in a usury lawsuit. The attorney started out, telling me that I didn't know what I was talking about and that Minnesota had no usury laws. I informed him that the state had passed a usury law and gave him the Minnesota statue. He seemed shocked and declared that I must know more about the law then he does. Then he proceeded to belittle me and tell me that I didn't know the law and didn't know what I was talking about. Then told me he couldn't help me. Gives all lawyers a bad name.
