It’s unfortunate that Dr Houts has since last year closed his private practice and according to his staff he has retired. I got to see him 2X as all I need to do is continue getting my medication of Keppra he allowed for that and I hope I can still get my medical records from him
I wish I could give him zero stars instead of even one. Horrible bedside manner and an incompetent doctor. What kind of doctor (other than a Vet) treats patients with a dog in the room? The list goes on and on. He is a poor doctor at best. Avoid this quack at all costs.
Thomas Houts was the most rude, condescending person I have ever talked to concerning the procedures done to our loved one. He put the blame on everyone else, nurses, radiologists, not taking any responsibility himself. I would suggest finding a different CARE giver.
Worst doctor ever!!! Took my mom to see him for some symptoms we wanted to have tested and he asked her what she thought it was and that he didn't know!!! Then he said let's look it up on WebMD. Offered no help in figuring out the symptoms! Totally incompetent doctor!
Dr. Houts was one of the best doctors I have ever seen in my 73 years. I was told by my primary care doctor that he wasn’t the kind of person with whom you would want to go out for coffee, but probably the best neurologist in town. Actually I think I would have enjoyed having a cup of coffee with him. He’s one of the few doctors I’ve seen who recognized me as a full human being and not just a patient or set of symptoms.
