I am changing my previous 5-star review to 1 star following a significant medical error during our visit on Jan 20, 2026. While the facility is clean and the owner, Dr. Hanna, was transparent once the mistake was caught, there is a dangerous flaw in their safety protocols. My two cats were taken into the back 'treatment area' where their identities were switched. As a result, one of my cats were administered incorrect vaccinations. I had a great experience here getting my two 4 month old kittens spayed. They did a great job with the surgery and allowed me to text them pictures of their incisions as they healed for advice. They were super responsive with the texting feature. They also do not tattoo the cats ear which (who knew) would be a thing other places do!
Went in to get my dog updated on her shots and they were super quick and friendly. I went back to get my cat looked at because he had started itching really badly to where he was balding and the meet was extremely informative and helpful for both visits. Setting up an appointment was extremely easy and fast. You're not talking to a robot but a very friendly and helpful person. I had a great experience at Houston Spay Neuter. The doctor was extremely helpful, and the entire staff was kind, patient, and very understanding. I was honest about not having the full amount for the surgery, and the doctor worked with me and allowed the surgery to be done for $500, which also included the medication. I am beyond grateful for their compassion and professionalism. It truly means a lot when a clinic cares not only about animals, but about the people too. Highly recommend!
