I got a huge bill that was never told to me before services was rendered. I have an ultrasound at Houston Methodist Hospital and was never told that they used a third party to do the ultrasound. Methodist nor your company failed to notify the pt of the cost! According to all your reviews this scam is still ongoing!
You can’t fully avoid them since there aren’t many alternatives in town, but I urge you to hire a group like Health Advocate prior to paying any bills you receive. I’ve gotten roughly 8 separate bills over the last few years related to an urgent clinic visit I had in 2021. Nothing substantial, but when I received the latest $75 bill a couple months ago, I noticed a discrepancy and had HA dig into it. Same experience that everybody is having here. We received a bill for our son 4 months after he was born. Paper does not have any explanation of what the bill is for. All it contains is a threat that they will send our balance to collections if we don't pay immediately. This is a crime. Houston Radiology Associated must be reported and investigated. Went through our doctor for MRI. Everything was approved through insurance. Paid copay. Now I am receiving a bill for 900 saying that it was not in network. Fighting it through my insurance. Don't understand how this happened. It is like they double billed.
