Similar experience. Went to Houston Methodist. Paid $2000 upfront for imaging. Have since received a refund from Houston Methodist because my insurance covered more than anticipated. Months later, received a bill from Houston Radiology Associated. I have never been to them. I have never signed any paperwork with them. I am now being threatened to be sent to collections by them. This place has been an absolute nightmare to deal with. I am being sent bills that were never submitted to my insurance, despite the fact that I had active coverage at the time of service. They are now claiming I didn’t have insurance, which is completely inaccurate. Instead of properly billing my insurance company, they are trying to bill me directly.
