My review is about shady billing practices. The care I received was top notch by everyone involved. Methodist will send exorbitant estimates that the patient has to pay in full or in part when their insurance will cover far more than they expect. For example, on 4/8/24 I had a biopsy and was given a $1300 estimate. This was soul crushing as I didn't have that money. Absolutely outrageous costs and unreliable service. I had a simple biopsy done and the bill sent to my insurance was over $27,000 — seriously? On top of that, they promised to have my medical records CD ready within 24–48 hours and said they’d call when it was ready for pickup. Guess what? No call, and I waited anxiously the whole time. I almost missed my flight because of their delay. Totally unprofessional and stressful experience.

I had a very positive experience getting a stereotactic breast biopsy at this center. The staff was welcoming, efficient and kind. I was glad to meet with the radiologist doctor beforehand having all questions answered. As for the procedure itself, the nurses were so patient and professional. I also really appreciated the reassuring care from nurse Kay who made the procedure much easier to tolerate.

The radiologist was with Houston Methodist, but not in my network. This means I have to pay this doctor. Only network doctors should interpret my mammogram.
