I got terminated, still need help. Said I could not re apply until 2028. I would really like to be back on the program in the future again. Been studying and learning the government more. Good question. There’s no universal federal rule that says you always have to wait exactly 5 years if your Section 8 (Housing Choice Voucher) is terminated — it depends a lot on which Public Housing Authority (PHA) handled your voucher and why your assistance was terminated.
