These people do not pick up the phone , it always goes to voicemail !!!! I’ve emailed them and called them so many times regarding two buildings that are still available for accepting applications…. I don’t know what to do !!! This is not nice

Horrible service. They reached out to me and told me I was selected to start the review process on May 20th, 2026 for 99 Church Street and to get months of documentation from bank statements, taxes, investments, wages etc. In addition, I needed to get pre-approved for a mortgage (which they gave a list of banks for me to reach out to) and to give them $50 money order for a background check and the due date for all of this was June 2nd, 2026. I feel that in order to truly support equal opportunity, the maximum income limit should be increased, and all AMI levels should be listed at 100%. Restricting access to lower AMI thresholds excludes working families who earn a moderate income but still cannot afford market-rate housing in Westchester. Raising the ceiling ensures that more households — not just the lowest earners — have a fair shot at affordable homeownership.

If you're looking for genuine assistance, you will not get it here at this time. In 2017, when the YMCA was closing, the individual from this organization assigned to assist us in finding and securing future residencies was very courteous and very helpful. Therefore, as a homeless veteran, I assumed that I would receive that same respect. That assumption was not in my favor.
