The Best Indian Restaurant in the vicinity, in every way. The food is authentic and fresh. The environment is soothing. Tasteful music is piped. Place is clean and attractive. Bathrooms are always very clean. Service is the best, fast and curteous. While going on Orchard lake we found this restaurant and tried. The waitress was very pleasant and brought ice cold water immediately. Menus were brought promptly and order taken. Appetizers were plentiful and tasty. We never had this good Tandoori chicken at any restaurant before... read more
This place is horrible, from the service to the food. Our waiter was young, inexperienced, disorganized and slow. We started with their version of a chili tempura which was not bad. However, the cilantro/mint sauce was obviously old and discolored. We had the shish kabob which one would assume is whole chunks of lamb, not the ground lamb that came out. It tasted of organ meats and had a putrid smell, we sent it back. The waiter did not appologize or ask us if we wanted a replacement, I guess he was used to having food sent b... read more
The worst service ever...avoid at all costs! – The food at this restaurant was pretty decent but the service was the worst I have experienced at any restaurant. The manager seemed to run a one man show...he also waited tables, seated people and took care of the billing. Needless to say there was a long wait for the food to arrive. He also managed to get our order wrong... and was confrontational and downright accusatory and rude when I brought this up. He told me I had never asked for those things... and this is when I had 2... read more
Food is great! portions a generous. – My husbund doesn't like indian restaurants, but even he was impressed. Taste great, quiet, service is ok. Loved it! Nicely decorated...
Bad reception – I have never seen something like that, the service was unbelievably awful, The waitress checked on us after more than half an hour sitting there without being offered even a glass of water. When the first waitress showed up and we asked a question about the food she couldn't speak English very well and she asked us to wait for somebody else to wait on us. After 15 minutes more waiting we asked for the manager. Manager showed up after 5 minutes and without asking us what the problem was, tried to get our order... read more
severe gastrointestinal problems- Owner Won't Address – On our last visit my son & I got terrible gastrointestinal problems after eating. We were frequent customers, as the food is delicious and reasonably priced. Also the waitstaff USED TO be friendly. This time the waiter was snarky and rushed, even though the place was empty. By the time we got home we both had severe (and I mean disgusting and SEVERE) problems and fevers. The owner refuses to address the issue. We had nothing else to eat, so I am confident this food was ... read more
Change in Ownership = Bad News – This place has always been reliable for inexpensive, down-home Indian food. In 2006, ownership changed hands and wow ... lots of changes, most of them bad. The food is still good - in fact, maybe even a bit better than it was. So that's nice. But the prices skyrocketed - honestly. Every single entree, especially the vegetarian ones and including the lunch buffet, increased in price $2-$4. The service used to be warm and friendly - but none of the old servers remain. They've been replaced by a... read more
