Worst experience ever. Ordered a dress February 8th for my May 14 prom and it is now two weeks away and still no dress. The owner kept telling us "it shipped" or "its in customs" or "just another week". Can't get a straight answer out of her and not one apology. Will never go back. Thank goodness for Henry's being able to help us out last minute.

I ordered a dress for my daughter the first week of February for a prom date of May 14th. Whenever I was able to get someone to answer the phone at the shop I was told it would be there at the end of the week or the first of the following week. On the numerous times the phone was not answered I did send messages on Facebook looking for answers. Always the same thing if I was answered at all. I ordered my dress the first week in February for a prom on May 14th and it will not be here in time. They never let me know that it will not be here in time, I had to call them numerous times to even get a straight answer that I will need to find a new dress. They will not give me a refund for my dress. I paid $350 for a dress that will not be here in time for my SENIOR prom. I would not recommend getting a dress from here.

Simply put the bridal party paid in full (months ago) for dresses that are not here and no one will speak to us via phone FB or any other way. The store hasn't been open during its business hours in maybe a week. Owner, Jill hasn't responded the the Bangor PD's attempts to contact her. You can make up your own mind on the honesty of House of Brides. Update: this store is closed.
