I had called and set up an appointment with House Doctors to give me an estimate for a deck repair job. At the appointed time, they didn't show up or call. I called the company and left a voice message, asking what happened. They didn't even bother to return my call. This is rude and unprofessional. I've had nothing but fabulous experiences with the House Doctor. He and his helpers are always on time, courteous, and they do a great job. In fact he's so good that I hesitate to recommend him in case he gets too busy to get a hold of.

I had a back door frame that needed replacing due to wood rot. The technician arrived on time, measured, took pictures and left. Gabriel then called me with a quote of $675 for a half day's work. The price should be around $200. I know because I have had the exact same work done by another carpenter on another door frame. And he did an excellent job. But unfortunately this carpenter is out with an illness at this time. So let's say 5 hours of work (the previous carpenter did it in 2.5 hours). 675 divided by 5 is $135. So eve... read more
