My 8 year old son was recently referred here for a surgical consultation. We drove two hours from our small town, on a highway that had seen three fatalities in the days before our trip, only to have a five minute appointment end with the news that he'd actually need to see a pediatric urologist instead. Receptionist was extremely rude. I couldn't imagine letting those type of people touching my private areas.

As a retired Reg.Psych.Nurse I can honestly say that Dr Houle has considerable, respectable bedside manners and very professional. I could have used a little more info. on the pros/cons of my new med. but I suppose that is what Pharmacists and Google are for. No problem because I know how stretched our medical professionals are for time. Dr Houle, one of the best!!

While under his care in Vernon no complaints but having to move away (rural now) has been discouraging with the lack of support ~ can not assist with rebooking scopes or BCGs… told to find a walk-in doctor where I reside(which there are no clinics here) to now find another urologist as they cannot assist w referral.. quite possible it’s our own BC medical red tape and “procedures” but surely would be nicer to feel like we are cared about as patients.
