The Houck Funeral Home was founded in Boyertown in the late 1800's by Harrison Houck. In 1908, the Houck's purchased the Jeremiah Gilbert Funeral Home at Washington and Chestnut Streets in Pottstown. The business was continued by Herbert R. Houck and his son, Walter E. Houck. Following his service during World War II, Herbert F. They handled the funeral for my sister a few years ago and recently the death of my father. They are truly a special couple and their compassion and professionalism during these difficult times is indeed top notch. I would highly recommend them to everyone.
