My husband booked a stay at Hotel Vernon expecting a clean and comfortable place to rest after a long 14-hour work shift. Unfortunately, the experience was completely unacceptable. The room was filthy and appeared unsanitary. My husband discovered bed bugs, which is not only disgusting but a serious health concern. Yogi at the front desk was super helpful! Was happy to grab a few breakfast things 46 minutes after breakfast was closed. Nice room, would stay here again.
I don’t enjoy writing poor reviews, but I certainly would hate for someone to waste their hard earned money for a night of rest, only to end up here, anxious and restless. The two main issues with this place can be boiled down to this, noise and customer service. 1) Noise- Paper is more sound proof than the walls. Absolutely disgusting! ROACHES!!! Dingy nasty towels, dirty floors, crusty couch, shoe marks on the ceiling above the bed where someone had smashed & smeared another roach! Photo is the second one I killed!
The gentleman on our check in day 11/23 was very accommodating, but every interaction with the staff there after was less than desirable. Our first morning breakfast was put away almost a full hour before it should have been. We had 8 people for 2 rooms. Everything we asked for towels or toilet paper it was a hassle. Of the four nights we were there, we only had maid service once. I do not recommend this place for longer than 1 night if you can help it..
