We had an excellent stay at Hotel Vermont this summer. Our family of 5 stayed with our dog in one of the double queen rooms on the 2nd floor. It was a good size room for a downtown hotel. Check-in was smooth and pleasant, and every interaction we had with staff was prompt and friendly. We loved how nicely everyone treated our dog, as well. The restaurant/bar downstairs was a gem. Food was great and servers were wonderful. We'll definitely be back!

Looked at booking a room for next month. Come to find out they charge based on where you live. Cheaper rates for Vermont and Quebec residents but for me living under two ours away in Northern NY they expect me to pay $180+ more a night. Buyer beware if you are from out of state. They won't be getting any of my money.

We really loved this place. For whatever reason we got a free room upgrade. We had already bought the beer sampler, but they upgraded it with cheese and crackers and a chocolate add on as well. It was a very nice room with a hot tub and a fire place (that was actually working - which has been hit/miss for some stays at other places). And there were real plants (that I doubt would cause allergies) in rooms/halls which felt nice and fresh.
