I really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Sylva! The room was spotless, the bed was super comfortable, and the boutique bath products were such a nice touch. Everything felt stylish and well thought out. The only minor issue was some whining from a dog in the adjoining room (apparently left alone, which isn’t allowed). Once I texted the hotel, it quieted down. We were up for just one night for a Marching Band Competition at WCU. Location can't be beat, it's close to the school and walking distance to shops and restaurants. Room was on the small side but perfect for what we needed. It was clean and quiet. The bed was very comfortable and there were plenty of plugs on both sides of the bed. The office has extra towels and basics that you can grab if you need them and the staff brought us 2 extra pillows. We would stay here again next time we are in the area!
Pros - clean Cons - not a hotel but a motel Way too expensive for what they offer to include a wall unit AC and walls that are paper thin, no service, communication is all via text and lobby closes at 6:00 pm and opens at 9:00 am so you are on your own. Back rooms are loud and literally in the parking lot. Quaint, modern, clean. Highly recommend. Convenient to Western Carolina U. Walkable downtown.
