I stayed at the Hotel Sylva for 4 days. When I arrived my room was ready. I went into the room and the bed was sunken in at the head board side. The staff moved me to another room with no issues. The room was very comfortable and clean. The hotel is in a great location with immediate access to the downtown area. It's only minutes walking to shopping and the local restaurants and bars. Like Sylva itself, the Hotel Sylva is distinctive, memorable and top-notch. The hotel delivers a contemporary lodging experience in a mid-century modern setting. It is the perfect place to stay while walking to the delightful shops, breweries and restaurants of Sylva.

Unfortunately I cannot comment on the condition of the hotel as we never made it there. After my husband became ill I contacted the hotel 5 business days before our stay asking for a credit for my pre paid room so we could reschedule our visit to see our kids at WCU at another time. They refused. I respect "non refundable" but non negotiable is more their motto. Skip this place. It's not worth the hassle.
