We live close by and often forget about this place. The food is excellent, and the staff have always been wonderful. The wine selection is great. Make sure to try this place out.
DO NOT EAT HERE!!!! This was the worst dinning experience ever!!!!! The waitstaff was rude and slow, the owner was a b(&( that didn't want to deal with complaints, the food was awful and not mention cold and very small portions. The prices were crazyl!!!! I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone, in fact the next time i look for somewhere to eat i'd be better off to eat dog food!!!!!!
Not a good experience here We went here last November for lunch and the service was terrible. It seemed there was not enough waitstaff and our food was cold when we got it - plus the food we received was not what we ordered.
Not a good experience here We went here last November for lunch and the service was terrible. It seemed there was not enough waitstaff and our food was cold when we got it - plus the food we received was not what we ordered. Two of us ordered "crab sandwiches" and we got 3 coin sized things with a slice of lemon on each....we looked at each other in amazement -was this a SANDWICH? It looked like hors d'ouerves! We do not plan to return because the service and the food was such a disappointment.
Take a step back in time In the little town of Saxonburg this landmark has been the meeting place for locals for years. The hotel is run with all the details in mind. The food is wonderful and the bar is filled with locals...on a Friday night after the local football game this is the place to get the late night bite.
Old World Dining I absolutely love this place. It has the charm of an old colonial house because that's what it is. The food is impecable and the staff is superb. The town of Saxonbur in and of itself is charming but the Hotel Saxonburg just adds to the charm. Expect to pay a bit more for a fine dining experience.

Great food in country atmosphere Eating at the Saxonburg Hotel is an experience in fine dining amoung country elegance. The hotel offers several dining rooms located in an actual turn of the century hotel. The food is intended to be savored and enjoyed at leisure. While the prices are a bit on the higher side, the elegant setting and atmosphere make it a desirable experience. The service staff are quite attentive and are sure to please even the most demanding customer. Be certain to allow time after your meal to stroll along... read more
