Travelers and local should visit the Palisade, at least for casual drink and the views. The building standing alone on a hill looks like a film set. The interior is beautifully designed and the top floor has some wonder surprises. The drinks are pricey but understandable considering the work they have put into this place and the fabulous views it offers. Reserve in advance but don’t hesitate to try your luck if you haven’t. I recommend this place to friends traveling to Sydney.
Stopped in to check it out. The view on the rooftop was absolutely amazing! Plenty of seating, inside and out. Drinks were reasonably priced and well made. Would be a perfect experience if staff was a little friendlier. But don't let that stop it. The view makes up for it.
We booked an air conditioned room. The air con was portable and very loud. We booked this accommodation as it had a roof top bar looking over the city. We wanted to go up after arrival to be told we couldn't due to a private function. We then went to sit outside on the tables and chairs provided only to be told we can't sit there as they are reserved. Being a paying guest staying at the hotel this was very disappointing. A beautiful old building beautifully refurbished. A small boutique hotel very close to circular quay. One thing missing....a pool, but very worthwhile. Oh and the food was amazing.
