Super quiet despite being right off the highway, didn't hear a peep from outside, or inside for that matter. The tablet system takes a minute to get used to but worked fine. Had breakfast in the morning which was good. Overall pleasant experience and would stay again.

Visiting from South Carolina, my wife and I stopped through New Haven for a night on our road trip up the coast. Hotel Marcel is easily one of my favorite hotel stays I’ve ever had. Of course I love their sustainability efforts, and the design inside is just immaculate. Hope to come back someday for a longer stay!

Gorgeous rooms and super clean hotel! It reminds me of the Brooklyn1 hotel in feel and luxury . However I did had an issue with the checkout. We requested a late checkout (checkout is 11;00am). The front desk lady flatly told me only 30 minutes. I even offered to pay for two more hours. She flatly said -"no". every hotel I have stayed offers a free one hour late checkout and if it's more than a hour a surcharge. I must add that it was a Sunday and the hotel was empty. People at the desk were friendly, rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. However, the lights, hvac, and window blinds are controlled by computer. At about 5:30 am, all the lights came with the main control panels showing server down. There was no override to turn off the lights in the room at all!??! From that point on the lights turned on and off constantly until we finally left the room at 8 o’clock. Needless to say, we checked out of our room a day early.
