Building is a very run down old red roof inn. Many rooms are not rentable because of condition. Those that they do rent out are very questionable. We ditched this place after one night and booked at the La Quinta across the street - infinitely better. Would not recommend Hotel Lex at all.

Worst hotel ever! Health and safety violations everywhere. Pulled blankets back on bed and bugs scattered across the bed, locks on adjoining doors did not work/lock. We did not have any hot water first night, lighting in room did not work so string lights had been hung up. Doors were propped open all over the hotel. Constant pot smell and smoke through halls and stairwells. Very unsafe neighborhood would not recommend leaving your room after dark. Dirty towels hung in bathroom, TVs did not work. This is truly a very beautiful hotel and the staff is excellent as well. As far as I recall, there is an Indian guy who works the night shift I believe his name is something like Harry or Jerry. He is a very kind and helpful person. And the lady who works in morning also treated me very well it was the best experience. Overall the hotel is fantastic m definitely gonna visit again

Loved staying here! The location was convenient to access many points around Lexington, the room and bathroom were VERY nice and the reataurant at the hotel was soooo good! Oh and the pool area is unmatched, my kids had the best time going back and forth playing the arcade games and jumping in the pool! Cant be beat for the price!
