This hotel is a Hilton property in what I would call unique or boutique category. As such, if you are a fan of Hilton Hotels, you won’t find one that looks much like this one. We were pretty impressed with the facilities. The lobby was very nice and while we were not able to enjoy the pool area, it was beautiful with many appointments. It looks like they might share the hotel with a Tru Hotel which is adjacent to Hotel Lela. The rooms were beautiful, clean and comfortable. I had a great experience staying here for 3 nights. Rooms are nice and clean, great AC, nice pool with plenty of towels.
I travel to Wilmington frequently for work, and Hotel Lela Wilmington, Tapestry Collection by Hilton is always my first choice. My stays are typically a week or longer, and I’ve returned many times because I’ve always enjoyed the hotel, the location, and the friendly staff. During my most recent stay, I did experience an issue that was disappointing. While it affected my visit, I was much more impressed by how the team responded. I am so impressed with the service. Top notch. Unfortunately, I arrived late for my check in. The staff was knowledgeable and awake even though I arrived after 1 a.m. He was very friendly and I enjoyed the fact he sent me a text message to see my check in experience was going. Quiet, comfortable, clean room. All of the staff are so friendly and helpful. I was here on a work trip so having a restaurant in the lobby made my long days so much easier and I actually got to sit down and eat a GOOD meal for a great price. They will even bring it to your room. The pool looked nice, lots of different places to sit or lounge around it.
