The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. However, the bar staff were slow to assist us despite not being busy and made inappropriate comments on two separate occasions implying I was drunk after only two drinks, which made me uncomfortable. Both elevators have not been inspected since 2023, which is not up to code and poses a safety concern. We had a wonderful stay at the IHG Hotel Indigo and especially enjoyed the beautiful pool area. The location was perfect—close to downtown Charleston, the charming nearby beach towns, and the beautiful Mount Pleasant area. We also loved being so close to Shem Creek. Parking was free with no hidden fees, which we truly appreciated. This hotel is absolutely beautiful! The staff is wonderful, very welcoming, and helpful. We particularly enjoyed the pool area and the super comfy bed! I would like to give a special shout out to Lashonda, as she made our mornings at breakfast such a joy! I will say that the dinner service could use improvement in the attentiveness of service, but the food is delicious. Overall, we had the most relaxing, peaceful stay and will 100% be back!
This hotel has been great for our visit to Charleston. The rooms are comfortable. The location is very close to downtown Charleston and many attractions. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. The breakfast at the hotel was amazing. Probably better than most restaurants in Charleston. Would highly recommended.
