My daughter and I were in town attending a local dog show when we found ourselves in a stressful situation at another hotel nearby—where we felt unsafe, the AC wasn’t working, and we were exhausted, hungry, and hot. In a bit of a huff, I called Hotel Grinnell, and from the very first moment, Nicky, the Operations Manager, turned our day around. Everything about the hotel is absolutely lovely. As a previous public school teacher I absolutely adored the school theme throughout, including fun and unique touches such as chalk boards, and report cards with number two pencils. The room I was in was beautiful, clean, and very comfortable. The amenities, including the huge game room and included refrigerator full of cold beverages, plus the bowl of snacks, were fantastic.
