Stayed at Hotel Chaco during a cross country move and it was lovely. Wish we could have actually stayed longer to enjoy more of it but we got there after 11pm and left early around 9am for another full day of driving. When we got there we were exhausted after driving from Los Angeles. They had upgraded our room since we got in so late and it was huge. I had already gotten a nice room but this was really nice. For being ABQ’s nicest hotel, they have absolutely ZERO enforcement for random locals who sneak in to use the pool. Every single day during my stay there were people that would come in with coolers, speakers etc through the back gate with 5+ children and acted like it was a public pool. People swimming in T-Shirts, families bringing hoards of pool toys. Water was murky and totally unappealing. My family and I spent 3 nights at Hotel Chaco and would highly recommend it. The hotel is beautiful, the pool is HUGE (perfect for kids) and it's proximity to Sawmill Market made "what's for dinner?" questions easy to answer. Most importantly, the staff is exceptional. We had an AC/HVAC issue with our room and it was handled with unparalleled hospitality - it's easy to give great service when things go smoothly, it's when things go sideways that a hotel's service level really shines!
