My husband an I stayed one night to visit family. We requested a quiet room since we are light sleepers.We checked in late and the front desk staff was preoccupied talking about shows with a co-worker and made us wait. The room on the pool floor was very small, but new and we were excited just to sleep. At 9pm, we could hear the bar on the street getting louder, but we closed all the windows, curtains and turned on some white noise. I've had meals and drinks on the rooftop of Cerro and was looking forward to doing so again. Sadly, I was told today at the 1st floor desk that only guests of the hotel could imbibe there so I left and spent my money elsewhere. Shame.

Hotel Cerro was, quite simply, one of the best hotel experiences we've had. Yes, the property is beautiful, the rooms are spacious and thoughtfully designed, and the downtown location cannot be beat... but the service is what really made our stay exceptional. First time in SLO and CERRO. Beautiful town and an amazing hotel. The facility was beautiful. Our room was spectacular and definitely contributed to the enjoyment of our trip. Another component of a very memorable vacation and hotel stay was the Hotel’s customer service. We were originally greeted by Marco. At that time, he was serving as a valet. Gotta give mad props to the front desk man, Keanu. This was our first big family trip. We flew in from the other end of the planet and were driving up the California coast and decided we needed to stop by San Luis Obispo, I have never been here. He was super helpful. We joked about his name. It was Monday so I got lucky with some good rooms and a plethora of coupons for free drinks, breakfast, and all that jazz.
