Specialties: We cast and make resin jewelry, reminiscent of the old Bakelite jewelry! Plus we carry an assortment of other jewelry designers and handmade gifts. Established in 2001. I started my business in my house, I sold to shops locally until my business grew and I needed a commercial space. Now in Berkeley, we combine our studio and shop. Everything is made there in our Hotcakes Design Jewelry, and the shop is big enough to carry lots of interesting stuff!

One of my very, very favorite stores! I can honestly say I love everything about it — the creativity, color, displays, quirkiness…everything! And, in addition to all the magic surrounding you, you can often find the charming and talented creator of so much of it — Caramia — there to guide you through it all. I know I’m gushing at this point, but once you visit Favor/Hotcakes Design, you will totally understand why.

Lots of fun, colorful jewelry. A fun place to look around. Very accommodating owner who will help you with length of chain etc. Be sure to ask if something isn't quite right.
