I spoke directly with Neil (studio owner) about how problematic having a workshop with Bikram’s daughter and wife was, on two separate occasions. Each time was atrociously disappointing. The first time I spoke with him, he told me he “didn’t know anything about it.” As a studio owner, there is a responsibility to stay informed about serious misconduct within the yoga community, especially when choosing who to bring into the studio or associate with. My favorite hot studio in the city, hands down. It doesn’t have the feeling of one of those new, designer studios - it’s old school, real yoga. 3 showers, 2 bathrooms, and they just built their second studio in the space! Neil always goes out of his way to make me feel welcome, which is why I HAVE to come back at least once a year, even though it’s incredibly out of the way for me since moving to BK! Also, shout out to Jermaine, an iconic NYC instructor ☮️
The hot vinyasa class is otherworldly.
Best hot yoga in town. Period.
