“Do Not Stay Here – Roach Infestation and Uninhabitable Conditions!” This Airbnb was a nightmare. Within an hour of arriving, we found cockroaches in the bathroom, family room, and kitchen. The floors were filthy, and the dishes were not clean, showing a complete lack of care for cleanliness. We immediately tried contacting the host, but their after-hours emergency number went unanswered. Shady business. If you’re going to cancel our reservation 30 minutes after the checkin time at least let us know why. You had 6 months to communicate and failed to do so. We had flights booked and everything too. Now our vacation is ruined. How would you feel if this happened to you?
I made a reservation to stay at one of their rentals for 6 weeks 6 months in advance. I arrived in new orleans and they cancelled 30 minutes AFTER our reservation started without an explanation. We had no place to stay and I had to spend an additional $3000 on housing with a different airbnb + we need to find an earlier flight home, bc we cant afford to stay here any longer.
