Rarely give negative feedback, however, today I had a very concerning experience and I’d like to help fix. I usually feel very comforted and safe when at HSS but unfortunately today I witnessed maybe what is wrong with our medical care system. The staff seemed so overworked and short with very little room for bed side manner and patience. I was charged $500 for an x-ray. I was not warned about this, so I was a bit shocked.
I don’t know why anyone would not give Hospital For Special surgeries Radiology unit a five star review. First of all the machines are brand new and the Radiology staff are extremely caring and knowledgeable. They take your privacy into consideration when you’re in the gown and they try to make what is usually an unpleasant experience pleasant. Kudos to Robert and Kenneth today because it was hard being in there for 40 minutes, but they made it much easier for me.
It's more about their hiring practices than their services that I have an issue with, because I was never their patient. Two years ago, I interviewed with them for an administration role. I showed up relaxed and confident. I have the experience. I was interested in the role. And after they interviewed me, I sent them a letter thanking them for the interview.
