Child on psych hold for hours. No accommodations or care for family. Sat in a folding chair for over 8 hours, he on a stretcher. I couldn't leave him due to being a minor. No sleep, kid being difficult, exhausted. Never felt so alone, insane I coukd be trapped in an ER for several nights waiting on placement and no decent place to try to get rest like a recliner chair. Our son had an unprecedented seizure and fell hard, just before we were to board an airplane at DTW, causing several serious secondary injuries. We were so scared! The airport EMS and police were magnificent! The hospital ER staff was too. Thank you so much first responders and Corewell Health Wayne! We are lucky to have you!
Would definitely give negative stars if possible!! Had a good experience with care while I was there, but the discharge information included things that I did not participate in. They stated that I did complete "range of motion test" and was successful. I did no such test. Nurse "Rosalee" also wrote that she witnessed me walking with a "normal steady gate with no sign of distress" I barely could walk at all, very gingerly in extreme discomfort.
