2.5 months ago my father decided he wanted to be placed on hospice. Since then it has be quite a journey. Although friendly the nurses from hispice proved to be incompetent in dealing with a dementia patient. As a result my father was never showered and could not properly be meditated. I live out of town and when I came he was always dirty, when I toileted him he had open sores on his bottom with old feces and I was simply told no one knew he had sores. Such a special place. It was very hard for our family to make the decision to put my uncle into a hospice residence but once we got there we knew it was the right decision. The level of care given was unbelievable. Everyone was so kind to us and made my uncles final days peaceful. The property is beautiful and the staff is kind and caring.
