I have been several times, and the burgers are wonderful. The staff is friendly and attentive, a real gem in South Hill.
I had heard enough from my guitarist about Horseshoe Restaurant so I stopped by 11/30/11 to see for myself. I had the Autumn Bowl while I waited for my Bison Burger for take out. The Autumn Bowl is delicious! I could not wait to get home to try the bison burger. It was delicious also. On 12/7/2011 I stopped by Horseshoe Restaurant to try the Elk Burger. Best Small Town Cafe – What a gem! In a world full of expensive, impersonal, get out quick restaurants staffed by people with memorized one-liners and terrible birthday songs; this place will take you back to the quiet of Mayberry.
