I don’t recommend sending anyone here. I was neglected a lot here, I was there for an extra 2 years because of the fact that I spoke up about the favoritism and the leeway they give clients here. I remember I reported that a minor and an adult had intercourse in the school and no one believed me I was punished for “snitching”. Went here as a child also known as YWEC not only did I suffer emotional and mental abuse here a lot of other girls here did to as well as physical I wasn’t even a problem child and they treated us so horrible some staff there were amazing but that was only a few the neglect and name calling on somethings that happened should have been shut down please don’t send your children there coming from experience so many girls who I stayed friends with after this program didn’t find this helpful they had done worse after the program ... read more

As someone who chose to be sent here at the age of 17 they do not do what is promised online the daily therapy was not given. This is more of a rehab then anything else if thats what you're going for this might benefit you but this has very weird ways. they made you chant virtues everyday. There are just so many terrible things about this place and the fact that they try to convince your parents to keep you there is ridiculous. LISTEN TO YOUR CHILD. They might be screaming for help in ways you just cant see.

I had my 14 year old daughter here for approx 6 months. If you are a parent like me searching for help for your child and family, this may be one of the hardest most important decisions you will ever make. We just picked her up to take her home so everything is still fresh. I researched many places before I chose Horseshoe Academy.
