Before you even ask, yes, the pub owners are Brits. So you might as well add the word “authentic” to our name. Liverpool native Lea Doyle purchased The Horse & Jockey in August 2008. Great food, over 50 beers, full liquor, great wine, live entertainment and all of the footy live and in HD. 'nuff said!
Good pizza....actually, very good pizza – Took my daughter their on Friday, didn't have to wait too long for a table, waitress was nice enough, but looked a bit overworked. Ordered sausage rolls, not really my thing but table next to us seemed to like them and recommended them highly. The pizza was definitely the highlight! Great Food but Not enjoying new ownership! – Weve been going to the horse and jockey for a few years now. Love trivia nights and hanging out with regulars there. However new management has taken over and I guess out with the old in with the new as they got rid of great employees that worked there. The atmosphere really isnt the same.
Trivia Night is the best! – The food is pretty good, especially the curry sauce, but what really makes me go back to this pub time and again is the beer (Guiness and Bass on tap) and the Trivia night, every Tuesday at 8pm. The scene is fun and the pub itself is charming. I highly recommend it, especially on Tuesday nights.
