My husband and I took a horse carriage ride at night, and I have to say—it was such a lovely experience. Although a few youngsters on scooters were a bit disruptive, I still really enjoyed the ride. It was something I’ve always wanted to do, and I’m so glad I finally got to check it off my list.
The horses aren't well taken care of, obviously. They get no food or water during the day. They're treated like vehicles/cars rather than creatures. Disposable and uncared for. The drivers barely see them as living at all. I asked to give one of the horses a pat (wanted to test their temperament) and the driver made fun of me for even asking.
