We wish we had found this company earlier. The mother in law had to be looked after in a care home because of a broken tibia. Unfortunately the care home does not have a movable (wheeled) recliner chairs limiting the freedom of movement. Thankfully Horizontal mobility hire our equipment exactly for this scenario. The chair was extremely comfortable and easy to move giving the mother in law a really pleasant stay while her leg healed. I highly recommend Horizontal mobility.

I truly regret the day (3rd April 2025) calling this company to hire a wheelchair, I was taking my mother away from the 12 to 22 April , but she had a fall in the bath and was taken to UCL, hospital, while I was there sitting with mh mother I had sent Horizon Mobility an email of what had happened, Liam saunters the guy I spoke with first said he can cancel the order. I said, plz do, but they emailed me with blah blah, end with no refund, how can people b like that, what happened to the 14 day if u shud change my mind period... read more

The initial hire and buy experience was very positive but if the buy back option forms any part of your plans we urge you to THINK CAREFULLY. We hired an Invacare Red Azalea (Tall) Wheelchair and a Deluxe Rise and Recline Chair for our Dad (who had Parkinson's) in August 2023. They worked well for him so after a couple of weeks we made the decision to buy them. They were fleet; we paid £2040 for the Azalea and £1436 for the Chair. If only we had read the reviews? My brother was transported from Gibralter to Glenwood Hospital in Leicester due to lung disease COPD which will end his life. His wife came with him. She has her own mental health issues which affect every aspect of her life. It was suggested a scooter to help her husband get about for his last few days. She with no experience found Horizon and was talked into a product on the phone by their sales staff, they took her money. A day later the hospital told her the scooter would not really help.... read more
