Embraced my parents into a community of interesting people, many activities, caring friendly staff, delicious food, and a safe environment. My dad is 92 and never bored. Uses gym daily. Library, barber and excellent clinic. Urban and close to hospital and downtown. Bus to Plymouth church. Secure garage. Really wonderful home for him.
Ten years now.......and each year gets better. New friends, excellent programs, you can't beat the food prepared by Chef Lindsay.and her staff.........now we're starting a ukelele group, thanks to Past President of the Residents' Council, Bill Andersen. He has the patience of Job Laurie Anderson
I am an external Management Consultant who has assisted in developing the top leaders at Horizon House over the last six years. These words comes to mind in describing their leaders: Passionate, Caring, Talented, and Highly Skilled. They continually develop personally and professionally in order to serve their residents!
My mom has been living at Horizon House since April of 2013. It's a marvelous community, full of smart, active, independent people; a caring staff; and an amazing downtown location. I now work there part-time and thus see operations from the "inside," but I continue to have a high opinion of Horizon House and its creative, resident-centered approach to retirement living.
