There’s a house a few doors down that has been untouched for two years. I’ve seen the owner there several times, meeting with contractors, but nothing seems to get done. When my husband and I saw her there last week, we stopped to talk to her. She looked so defeated. She said last summer, Horizon appeared to be working with her, but once she started getting contractor estimates, it became clear that the repair costs were far too high and she had to rethink things. **** BUYER BEWARE**** I bought a home Oct 2023 from Backwoods Home trading as Horizon Homes in Norton, VA and Kingsport, TN. These people hire unlicensed, incompetent contractors. Horizon has a hundred excuses why they NEVER keep their word. They failed TN State inspection completely. They messed up my set up of home, took down a 28’ break wall to attempt their 1st install April 2024, didn’t put back as promised. My grading is wrong, they cut off all 6 legs to my brand new back porch I had built by outside contractor and ref... read more

We love the home we received, however, buyer beware. We bought our home from the Kingsport lot, but the Norton lot handles much of the paperwork / processing. Time frames are much longer than anticipated for various reasons. It's been a constant back and forth with them from the beginning... ensuring our loan was proccessed correctly, getting the home delivered, set, and utilities hooked up.
