Scheduled an appointment for an energy audit a couple months in advance (as that was only availability.) Tech never showed up on the scheduled day so I called and the lady told me she would look into it. I never received a message back. No experience with their actual work product for obvious reasons. I'd love to update this review with an actual experience of their work product (which seems to be fantastic by all accounts), but no one has reached out to me even after this review.
My experience with Horizon Homes, from beginning to end, was a very positive one. From the Efficiency Maine home inspection with Corey, to my daily contact with the insulation (Travis, et al) and HVAC (Brent, Dan, Ethan) crews, I and my home were treated with kindness and respect. I am confident that the crew performed quality work, and that my goal of optimizing energy efficiency and environmental comfort has been achieved by their good efforts. I recommend Horizon Homes to all in need of insulation and HVAC refinements.
We worked with Cody to decide the best option for our home. We wanted to do heat pumps & insulation using a Green Bank loan through Efficiency Maine. Cody helped me with the application and rebate, and the whole process was simple and smooth. The first crew came and installed 3 heat pump units. They were prompt, professional, yet very personable. We had Horizon Homes perform air sealing and insulation work for us back in January 2024. After one full winter and summer we cannot believe the difference in the stability of heat during the winter and coolness during the summer. Cody's initial assessment was accurate on all accounts and was evidenced by the initial blower door test of 6.03 ACH50 to a 2.51 ACH50 after the enhancements (~58% passive airflow reduction). Awesome experience with Horizon! The team came out to insulate my home in Westbrook and did an outstanding job. Super professional, on time, and really easy to work with. They walked me through everything and made sure I was comfortable with the whole process. Highly recommend these guys if you’re looking for quality work and great service!
