My father was given 1 maybe 2 weeks to live. We were give a comfort pack of meds and informed that a nurse would call to schedule a visit once per day. We were also given a phone number to call 24/7 for any questions or concerns. We received nothing until I called on day 3 of my father being home due to a noticeable decline and frequent pain.
