Saturday night catch up with a friend. We were seated quickly as we had a reservation. Our waiter brought our tea as we mulled over the menu. We took a bit to decide and the chef came out to tell us we ordered too much for 2 people which was sweet. We ordered the veggie platter and a lamb tibsi and removed the awaze tibs from our order. Tried several African restaurants and this seems to be the best. I recommend checking them out !
Our first time here after frequenting other Ethiopian restaurants in Calgary. Chat GPT ranked this place as the #1 choice in Calgary. Great friendly service, and the food was hot, fresh and fantastic. We ordered the Mahberawi combo and beef chacha. The injera was nice and sour, so likely fermented well. Afterwards we had the Buna coffee ceremony and it was smooth and rich. Owner said they roast Yirgacheffe coffee beans on site. Very happy with everything and will return again in the future.
