Do not believe one word Maria Perez wrote! Laureen says she’s never met her. But I can tell you Laureen is an ethical, effective, competent, and qualified clinician. It’s such a shame scams like this can even happen. Laureen has counseled me for many years and is a fantastic listener, non-judgemental, honest and caring. I would recommend her to anyone needing family therapy, military ptsd, marriage counseling, etc.from someone who has spent many years with children in therapy. I can tell you she’s one of the best around.
Unethical and Harmful Experience Believe the bad reviews and run!!! I had a very disappointing experience with this therapist. I sought her help to improve communication and understanding, expecting a fair and neutral approach. However, I was never given the chance to share my side of the story during our sessions. Laureen is a nice person and very easy to talk to but did nothing but listen to me and my now ex husband for 6months giving very little direction. My ex was using therapy as a stage to further his emotional abuse and she said nothing. In my opinion as a professional she should have picked up on his tactics very early on. When I called her to cancel our appts and tell her we were getting a divorce I didn’t even get a call back. Our sessions with her were a joke and waste of time .
