Terrible, I have a degree in veterinary technology. I have never seen such "heartless" treatment (TX). This not so specialist hospital, should not be touching or treating any animal. My dog walk in their hospital she did not walk out. She only lived because after I talked to them, they knew they where wrong. The two young girls, latent vet asst. brought my girl out with slings, dragging her like she was a rag doll. I could not believe it, they can't afford a gerny with a lift, with as much as they charge. Dr. Stanke was upse... read more
Worst experience of my life. Went to FVARC despite the reviews, because our dog had a tumor and our regular vet did not feel they were able to deal with the cancer and surgery. MISTAKE! They were EXTREMELY cold & would not allow us to be with dog for an ultrasound. A non-invasive ultrasound! At our vet, the dog sat on my lap for the ultrasound. They told us that if we wanted to be with the dog for the ultrasound, we should go to Madison! Then, they misdiagnosed the tumor! They sent us home thinking the dog, who was act... read more
I brought my lab in for a possible life threatening disease. It took almost 2 weeks to get me my discharge paperwork . I had to call them constantly for info on treatment and medications in the meantime. Could never talk to the doctor or the doctors "team" always a receptionist. The best I could get out of the 10 days after my visit was that they want my dog to get another blood test that cost over $500. ( I don't have a problem spending any amount of money on my dog) That same exact test was under $200 at my general practic... read more
I spent 2 1/2 hours there crying as my puppy was in the backroom having seizures. I was told that the puppy more than likely had a liver shunt problem and was filling with toxins..which explains why he had multiple seizures since the night before. Surgery was $3,000 to $5,000 to correct...otherwise a special diet may give him a short life span. In the meantime they said whatever was causing this was affecting his brain and he was temporarily blind. They wanted me to pay almost $1000 in tests to confirm it was the liver. ... read more
If I could write -0 stars I would. In addition to the front office staff making a mediocre attempt at doing their jobs. Dr. Pettigrew (one of the surgeons) is a first -class jerk and made our visit feel very unwarranted. In truth, it was his lack of knowledge on the subject that was the real issue.
I was recommended to take my Golden Retriever her for an UltraSound. The recommending facility, Coon Rapid Pet Hospital, felt it was an emergency. The back story is that our dog had stopped eating, became lethargic and was losing fur. We had an X-Ray at CRPH and they saw a mass but couldn't identify what it was. Of course immediately my partner and I left work to take him to Blue Pearl. They did an ultrasound and recommended more tests to the the tune of $1200 and wanted me to pay an additional $500 for overnight ho... read more
I've known my sweet pup was nearing the end of her life...she was 14 and a boxer so we had her much longer than most boxer owners. When we woke up Sunday morning, February 19, Sasha was breathing but not responsive. Upon taking her into the emergency vet which was honestly my worst nightmare for how this would have gone...our regular vet knows her, our history and I wanted them to tell me what to do. However, to say our experience at Cobb Emergency made this so much easier would be an understatement. Dr. Grasso examined ... read more
They had our Calli friday night into sarurday. She was very ill. They lost her and resuscitated her. They kept me informed about her all morning and afternoon the next day. Tests were all necessary to find her problem. She is a 5 month old tea cup yorkie. Thank gosh you folks are there 24/7. As my lil girl would have died.
I took my dog there a little over two years ago. My dog had to be put down because I could not afford the $3000 for the surgery they wanted to perform on him. They wanted the money up front before the surgery no offers for payments. They care more about the revenue the bring in than the care of your dog. It might as well be a retail chain. I wouldn't be surprised if they had a daily sales goal. Two years later and I still say money grubbing corporation.
